2002 Genesis Gold C Advice

The grates are stainless and will clean up fine. Burners look like only thing needing replacement, along with the thermo. Those are not accurate anyway.
Great price! Mine is the same, it may out live me.

I ordered a new SS grate that's solid rods instead of the U shape. What's the best way to clean the old grate?

Finished cleaning. Waiting on the replacement parts.

The replacement parts arrived several weeks ago, finally got the time to install. Replaced the burners, new SS grates, igniter, thermometer, gas hose and regulator. Added the warming rack and warming basket. Sadly the basket is too short.
Anyone want to trade?
I was surprised to see aluminum rust on the newly painted lid sides. Do I have to repaint them?

Use an angle grinder with one of those heavy scotchbrite type of bonnets. Clean it up and wipe it down with lacquer thinner or such and repaint
