    Stove black on Genesis Silver-B firebox?

    Hi Everyone, The firebox on my Genesis Silver-B is white/ashy/corroded. Instead of painting it, I'm wondering about using stove black. Any thoughts on that approach? Thanks for any ideas.

    Ornamental crab as smoke wood?

    I'm talking about a crab apple tree with fruit the size of cranberries, not an honest-to-goodness crab apple tree. We just sawed off a few branches and hubby says "smell it!" So I did and it smells good. Sweet and fruity... Any reason we can't use it in our Weber Bullet? Thanks, all... Jan.

    The article on beef tenderloin (on the home page) includes a recipe for gorgonzola cream sauce to serve with the meat. It says to rapidly boil 4 cups of heavy cream for 45-50 minutes, until it's like a white sauce. Is that right? 45-50 minutes? That's almost as long as the meat will take...

    I am going to smoke a 6#, bone-in, Australian leg of lamb tomorrow. I am using the "Martini" recipe from the Smoke & Spice cookbook, which says to cook at 200-220.
