Still trying to get the hang of brisket in the WSM, spent the last 40 years smoking briskets on an offset stick burner. This one I cooked low and slow for 15 hours, 5 then turned over, 5 more then foiled for five. Tender but a bit dry for my taste. Need more practice.

Picked up a grill off CL, it is a DI (2007) Platimum. The color is some shade of green but it seems a lot lighter than any of the ones I have seen, like the C&B green. It is brand new except for the frame, spotless, I guess someone got a warranty replacement on the bowl and lid and ash catcher...

This kettle has a wood two rivet handle, that makes it after '63. It has "patent pending" on the vent, don't know which patent, and it has metal wheels. When were the metal wheels replaced with plastic? Any help from those more knowledgeable would be appreciated.

Finally found something that wasn't black. It ain't red but it will have to do for now. Not in too bad a shape, a couple of dings and needs an ash catcher and new OT system. Handles are solid, just need some cleaning and moisture.
