Question about a possible new mod.

I have a 22.5 WSM, and want to smoke some venison summer sausage later this season. I have been brain storming a little bit about putting a hot plate in place of the charcoal to regulate the heat a little bit better, and putting wood chips in a tin foil pan to create the smoke. I was wondering...

    Ranch Handles on 22" WSM

Well I thought it was the handle and the mounting brackets. I didn't open the package but the photo on the front looked like it was both. If I get a chance to stop by there this week I will look, I have been thinking about putting some on my wsm.

    Ranch Handles on 22" WSM

    Completed Temp controller

The manual that came with the controller had some set values for BBQ smokers, so I just used them to get started. I am going to use the auto tune feature once I get a chance to use it. According to the instructions the controller will learn reaction time of the smoker.
