Video Review: GreenFlame Natural Charcoal Lighter Fluid

Great review Chris. Yea, like most, I use my chimney, and with the built-in propane on the ole Performer, or better yet on my new Summit charcoal grill, I am spoiled! I do however ALWAYS bring a bottle camping. It comes in handy.

Throwdown #41: Your Favorite Bone-In Meat

WOOHOO! My B Day is Aug 27th! I'll play! It's been a dang dang long time fellas. Heck, I haven't posted in like 7 years! I still check around at times. Trying to get back in the game on these forums. A little Ribeye cook on my WSCGC. Full up with the LP SNS, DNG, and my FireBoard. Reverse...

    1st Cornish Hen attempt....

Looks great! I do these at least one or two times a month... I make up a batch of roadside, marinate two little birds overnight and cook on the performer. One of my favorite cooks of all!

    Top Sirloin Roast Sammy...

Of all the pics I saw today, John Solak's probably made me the most hungry! Trying to find a good tri-tip in these parts for some reason is like asking for a bone in ribeye! So a good top sirloin roast had to do, and was yummy! Thanks John! A little royal oak and a very nice day. Used my lime...

    Roadside Chicken ?

I also marinade mine for 24 hrs. Now, to me, there is nothing better than marinading a couple cornish hens for 24 hours and cooking them up!

    Stupid human Q tricks

Been here before but in another light... Left my kegerator bar control temp probe laying on the floor for about two days after loading up my kegerator with fresh homebrew kegs. I froze a LOT of great beer...

    Alton Brown porterhouse steak

WOW! Wish I had the camera tonight... This has to be one of the more perfectly seared steaks I think I have ever cooked. I'll have to dry age some now and really give it a go. The porterhouse came out absolutely beautiful! My steak was only about an inch, maybe 3/4 thick... Little sea salt and...

    Alton Brown porterhouse steak

Cooked on top of the chimney several times, but never thought to try cooking under it! Just got back with a nice thick porterhouse, fresh bag of Ore-ida crinkly frozen taters and a pablano pepper. By myself tonight so I will give it a go!

Do you break up the large pieces of lump before lighting?

Personally, I don't use them for the cook. I set them aside and use them in my open pit when I cook in that. I am pretty sure I am using RO. I think that is what the Kroger brand is. I love it! But I do get a big chunk at times, last weekend I pulled out a small log!
