Mike; here in Costa Rica you are more likely to encounter a Polar Bear than seeing a used cheap Performer.

Weber did add a metal table a few years back which I consider a major change.

We only purchase whole chicken legs cut-down-the-middle for all our grilling sessions as the chicken breast is a bit too dry for our taste.
