I used mine for the first time Sunday with a brisket on an 18. Rock solid at 275 the entire cook. Fantastic, even if it does cost more than my first WSM. The fan and adapter are from BBQ Guru.
Now I'm confused! I found Royal Oak Steak House lump in a green bag, 8.8 lbs, made in the USA at Menards yesterday on sale for $4.00. Anyone familiar with this product?
If that works for you, the home centers usually sell off their barrels at the end olf the gardening season. Menards has had half barrels as low as $7. The oak has worked very well for me over the years.
