Interestingly terrible steak on the kettle

A lot of interesting info here to try for those searching for their perfect steak. Consistent steaks cooked over wood or charcoal fire was probably the most difficult thing for me to conquer in the meat cooking and BBQ world. After cooking them on just about every Weber line of cookers...

    Hurricane Helene

My heart goes out to all those affected by Helene and Milton. We flooded bad here in St Pete, FL. Lost almost everything except the WSM and Performer. 😂 All furniture gone, and 80% of personal belongings, 3 cars totaled, etc. Had over 6 ft of water down our street, 3ft water lines outside the...

    Christmas Roast Beast

Nice play by play for those looking for some guidance, and pictures say it worked great! Food looks good. Where’s the horseradish?

    New WSM

To shut the cooker off and extinguish the coals you’ll need to close the top vent or wait a long while for the coals to burn out. With the top vent open the fire is still breathing. A cooker without food does not act like a cooker with food. Please keep that in mind for test burns. No food...

18.5 WSM owner -- some questions about rib capacity

Use rib racks or roll them. If using any variations of the 3-2-1 method, once I foil them I stack the rib racks flat anyway and space isn’t as big of an issue. Once unfoiled to finish I still sorta stack them as well.

WSM like a Webber Kettle kinda?!!!

There are a few variations like mentioned above that can be used. If you have a good understanding of the cooker and working with fire, it’s fun sometimes to switch things up. Remove the water pan and cook on the top grate with or without lid. Use a small layer of coals for this. Remove...

    Disappointed In Myself

I’ve read the post a couple times and still trying to find the mistakes. Looks like most of the food disappeared! I’ve had some recovery cooks taste so good I’m still trying to replicate them with no luck, lol.

Anybody own a Big Green Egg?

Any difference in taste of food vs kettle or WSM?

Anybody own a Big Green Egg?

I’ve been watching the classifieds for a deal on a Weber Ranch, and come across cheap BGEs from time to time. I’ve only known one friend who owned one, watched him cook a couple times on it, but never ate any food from it. Being in front of one I understand why people like them, they are a...

Weber WSM 22.5 Way Too Large

How many people are you typically cooking for?

I did a thing. Ranch Kettle content.

I support this decision. Any close up pics of the temp probe where it goes in the lid?

Not grilling - sucked down the TVWBB rabbit hole

Wendy’s chili and cold cuts with tuna, I’ll take ‘em. 😂

    N code Jumbo Joe Platinum

JJ is extremely underrated grill, I’m an advocate too! Cooks the best steaks too IMO, better than my Performer or any variation of the WSM. In a pinch I’ve loaded it down for indirect cooking and had great luck.
