    Restoring Wood Handles - How would you do it?

    I bought an older weber kettle with wood handles (that are looking old and faded) and I would like to bring them back to as close to new as possible. I know that I could sand them down and put lacquer on them but I dont know if that will yield the best result - what do you suggest?

    So I am trying to make Smoked Pork Butt for the first time (and this is my third Q). From what I and my wife read - a 4-5LB pork butt should take between 5-6 hours to reach 180F.
