Phil, That sounds like great news. Hopefully this will be An awesome job and you’ll be able to look back and realize sometimes happen for a reason, even if we have a hard time seeing it. Sounds like it’s almost time to fire up the grill and celebrate.

I bought a JJ a couple years ago. Very fun to cook with. You can set it on a table and cook standing up, or just as comfortably cook while setting in a lawn chair. Small enough to take with you and room to cook. I love it. Congratulations. Can’t wait to hear how you like it.

Looks great Chris. I have a similar slicer but have only used it on raw meat. I have been thinking about making pastrami, now I know how I will cut it. Hate cleaning the thing though.

I have a newer performer with gas ignition. I almost never use the ignition. I use lighter cubes. Not that it isn’t handy or nice, but because I usually get busy and forget to shut it off and wasting gas. I could live without the ignition, but not without my performer.

I get fresh side pork from the butcher shop and cook it this way all the time. Never tried it with bacon though.

Kristof, I read that also and have always cooked directly on the stone. I’ll try that too, seems like it would be easier to rotate and get in and out also.

I cook skirt steak often and see the hanger steak nearby but never tried it. Looks very similar, but maybe larger than the skirt. After reading your post I think I will give it a try.

Those pies look perfectly cooked. I have a kettle pizza and have no problem getting high temps but do have a difficult time getting the top of the pizza finished without having the bottom burnt to a crusty black. I really like the idea of adding a pan on top. Going to give it a try next time.

I’ve used mine many times. Never had a problem. Just make sure to turn them upside down.

I actually posted this over at weber kettle club. I inserted the image link here. It shows up on my browser. Not sure if anyone else can see it or not. I realize that there are specs on each grill, what I should have said is that I wanted something showing all those sizes in one location.
