They come out amazing .. a little involved, but well worth it. the end product is tender ribs that just melt in your mouth.
Those HD bricks sure are expensive. An alternate cheaper option is the Rutland Firebricks at Ace Hardware: http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1366795. I have these and they work great!
I've used Sriracha Hot Sauce on the ribs ... good flavor .. family loves it, so will be doing it again.
I've also used Dukes mayo as a binder and gotten amazing results with the ribs. Try it!
Check out Academy Sports+Outdoors stores (www.academy.com) too if you have them locally. They have a fairly good inexpensive collection of woods for smoking.
