    Heatermeter unreachable

Firing up the old HM for a Labor Day brisket. It's been ages since I've had her up and running. Tried connecting via web with IP (and also PitDroid), and although it's reporting IP @ startup, I cannot connect. Did a search and noticed Bostwick had similar issue, but no resolution...

Another mounting location thread for offsets.

I am using a basket. On my leaky as hell CG i could get 2-1/2 hrs. Thsts enough to get a decent amount if shuteye during comps.

Another mounting location thread for offsets.

Hey all... So, I've recently upgraded to an OK Joe Longhorn from the Chargriller. On the CG I was using a dog bowl adapter off the ash drawer/ damper. For the LH, I've fabricated a 16 ga plate with a 1-1/2" close nipple threaded into it to replace the damper plate (so that I can always go...

The Adapt-a-Damper - Open Source Project

So I've got a buddy that's going to print for me. From your perspective, do you see a benefit with eith pipe or fitting? If not, i think I'd prefer to have it pipe sized to fit inside a fitting. OD for pipe 1.900". ID for fittings is 1.912" at the entrance and 1.894" at the "bottom"...

The Adapt-a-Damper - Open Source Project

Regarding the 15 cfm versions. A couple of questions: 1. What is the adapter intended to connect to. I use a 1-1/2" pvc female adapter on a 1-1/2" SST close nipple. Will the adapter fit either in the 1-1/2" pvc fitting, or on a 1-1/2" pvc pipe? 2. Can the TP SG90 servo be used in lieu of...

    Heatermeter on battery success!

Was looking at those, and will probably get one, however, one of these multi-function jobbies is also appealing. My only question is the Ah rating. It's advertised as 26,000 mAh, but how do you tell at what voltage that is? I would hope it's at 12v, since that's the natural voltage of this...

Brand New Damper Design - "The Micro Damper"

Can someone post picture of the threaded end as it comes off the printer, and after cleanup. Had a buddy print mine, but threads aren't great, so I wanted to see what you guys (that printed yourselves) ended up with so I can get an idea about how it should look coming out.

    Feature Request: Max output alarm

So Bryan, i was cooking at Hudson Valley Ribfest this weekend..... i think a more usedful alarm would be: if not in startup mode and average output is greater than or equal to x% for y sec sound alarm.

    Feature Request: Max output alarm

That logic seems correct to me. Startup is initialized any time the setpoint changes, correct?

    Feature Request: Max output alarm

I'm running an offset. 100% in the middle of a cook means i need more fuel. A Min temp alarm means im already on my way down and it will take longer to recover. That's why I'm loking for 100% output alarm. Time delay, maybe 100% for 1 min, might be appropriate.

    Feature Request: Max output alarm

I was thinking that it would be something that you could easily activate/deactivate - probably on the same "Alarm" page. With my rig if I'm hitting 100% output something is going on that I should be aware of.

    Feature Request: Max output alarm

So, I'm running some test fires to see how long I can sleep while cooking, and it occurred to me that it would be very helpful to be alerted that the fire is starting to die out. This would allow me to react and make the necessary adjustments before the temp starts to drop. To me the most...

Brand New Damper Design - "The Micro Damper"

Thanks for the quick response Steve. Perhaps I'll just add some tape to the shoulder of the plug and let it be.

Brand New Damper Design - "The Micro Damper"

So, back to my 7/23 post. Last night I did a test fire in prep for competition. I could totally recreate the jumping/nonresponsive servo issue if I push the 3.5mm plug ALL the way in... you know, that last little "click". However, I was running fine if the plug wasn't pushed in that last...
