    Weber Slide Aside Lid Holder

not sure if this applies to the USA or not, but in Canada, the slide aside lid holder is not being offered anymore due to low sales in the past couple of years. if you find one, don't take too long making up your mind on whether to purchase it or not. it's still on Weber's website, but then...

New 2007 Genesis - Regular vs. Premium

what i have been told by my rep is this... some of the weber models sold in box stores are now being made in China. premium models and summits are still made in IL, USA

What's the difference between a Genesis Silver B platinum and regular?

something's not right. there's no way an independant would be selling the exact same item for double what a nearby box store sells for. anytime we sell the exact same bbq as a nearby box store does, we price match. either their model is different or someone is making an error.

What's the difference between a Genesis Silver B platinum and regular?

the pic you posted with one fold up shelf is a box store silver B, the other with 2 fold up shelves is a mom and pop shop (or specialty retailer) Silver B. as for the platinum. the only difference between the platinum and the gold c is that the frame is stainless steel with a 25 year warranty...

New 2007 Genesis - Regular vs. Premium

yes, here in Canada, the S-320 LP will retail for $999, and the Premium with sideburner will retail for $969 - with the thicker stainless steel rods. you pay more for the stainless lid, but get thinner rods and the premiums are only available at specialty BBQ retailers - not box stores. as for...

New 2007 Genesis - Regular vs. Premium

price will certainly dictate for many, but for a few, and those just generally interested, i thought i would post this thread showing the differences between the premium and regular genesis grills for 2007 - up to you which you prefer - but this information cannot be found on weber's website, so...

Genisis Silver B changes next yr

as far as i am aware, there are no changes to the charcoal line this year - at least not as far as size goes... there's still the 18 1/2, the 22 1/2 and of course if you want bigger ... the ranch kettle performer is also still 22 1/2.

Genisis Silver B changes next yr

part of the confusion may be that there ARE certain models that weber makes that are not available in canada (OMC is the Canadian distributor for Weber), and the same "MAY" be true in reverse.

look, i'm not trying to stop people from buying from wherever they like, nor am i knocking weber (or HD etc), i'm just answering questions about differences between models. do your research if you like. you will find that products like weber, dewalt, john deer, etc, make their products with...

Summit Silver B New on Craigslist

depending on the grill...there are actually at least 5 grates that i know of.. 1. PCI (Home Depot exclusive i believe) 2. porcelain coated steel "grates" (hollow/light) 3. stainless steel "grates" (hollow/light) 4. stainless steel "rods" 3/8" thick (heavy) 5. some newer Silver B's will also...

Genisis Silver B changes next yr

the model numbers are different from a regular gensis silver B and a premium genesis silver B. not sure what the pattern is though. best method is that if it has PCI or porcelain coated steel grates...it's not premium. also...phone weber and ask for premium dealers in your neighbourhood. Cheers!

    Butchers Vs. Supermarket meats...

being from canada, our supermarkets are slightly different from those south of the boarder, but most of what is being said i agree with. grocery stores definitely have less knowledgeable people, and usually don't stock the larger cuts of meat that this forum is mostly about. the ribs i find in...

    regular pork ribs very fat?

i have become a rib snob. any ribs i have EVER bought from a "grocery" store were horrible. i now exclusively buy back ribs from my butcher. they cost a lot more, so i eat them less often, but when i do, they are awesome! all meat - no fat (almost) as a general rule though, yes side ribs are...

    Does Weber Read This Stuff?

sorry if this has been stated, but i did not bother to read ALL the posts in this thread, here's what i have to offer though. i am a Weber dealer and in speaking to my rep about this exact thing...why are there no therms in a WSM etc etc etc. i was told the following - "changes are coming next...
