If someone lives near Frederick Maryland you could probably save 10-15 bucks by asking seller if you could pick it up. Last March I bought one and the guy lived 15 min away! He netted out the shipping cost so I paid $30 cash (vs his $42.99 or whatever).
I was thinking that when dyeing a handle, you could use one of those plastic wallpaper trays? They're typically 30 inches, they're cheap, and somewhat durable.

For those lucky enough to have access to a power washer, the Durawood cleans up to "like new" condition. Interestingly however, if you are too aggressive with the p.w., it "raises the grain" almost like with real wood. So don't be too heavy handed. Give it a soak in a cleaner then blast away!

Yes, sir. Holes on the left for the motor bracket and slots both sides for the spit rod, all factory made/drilled on the cookbox.
I think I have extra motors and forks and the spit rod can be bought and easily fabbed, but It's the handle/counterweight that are probably the most challenging...
I still have some work to do on my JR before I get there, but I am planning to modify a rotisserie setup as I think it would be a cool way to spin small birds or a petite roast given the wide spacing of the two burners which still probably crank out 20-25K+ BTU and might make for a fun...
