Yes I've seen too many fires with gassers too close to a wall. Like I mentioned if you left the wheels on you could still roll it out a few ft.
Thats what I do with my Q2200. I have it on a SS table which I modded with casters.
All the heat comes out of the back on a gasser. 2 feet is the norm.
If you install the non/com on the back wall you should mount it to metal furring so you create an air space between the two surfaces.
