I've only done the ash pan and that was on my 06 OTG. Prolly painted it 2010. Used rustoleum HH grill paint flat black. It still looks good.

Yes I've seen too many fires with gassers too close to a wall. Like I mentioned if you left the wheels on you could still roll it out a few ft. Thats what I do with my Q2200. I have it on a SS table which I modded with casters.

All the heat comes out of the back on a gasser. 2 feet is the norm. If you install the non/com on the back wall you should mount it to metal furring so you create an air space between the two surfaces. we use these hat channels

Only thing that I see that causes concern is the space behind your gasser and the privacy wall. You took the wheels off so you can't roll it out.
