    I am finally going to break out my WSM this weekend!! And I got my Thermaworks Smoke delivered today as well!! Ok question for all you gurus...As of right now, I only have AppleWood chips. I plan on smoking some Tri-tip and Pork Loin. Would this work for both? I know Red Oak works best...

    Ok, although it is not necessary to do so, I was thinking of seasoning it. My question is this... Instead of using good Kingsford briquettes, if I was just going to season, it should be OK to do so with cheap Charcoal since I would not be cooking..... Thoughts?

    Thanks for the welcome guys. Haven't had a chance to use the smoker yet... Life kind of gets in the way sometimes. But locally, Stater Bros has Spare Ribs on sale 1.99 a lb, tri-tip at 2.99 a lb. And Pork butt at .99 a lb.. Looks like I may stock up on some meat..

    On Friday, I purchased a new 22 WSM. Got the smoker, and a chimney, but forgot the Kingsford briquettes..... Hopefully I'll have a weekend to use it soon. Maybe a smoked tri tip is in the future.
