26 incher for $175 in South Carolina

I am downsizing, so my loss would be someone else's gain. I just don't have the room. $175 is my rock bottom lowest price. Thanks for looking. http://greenville.craigslist.org/for/5728467958.html

    Unplanned Weber buy

The burden of profit shifts to other things, like back to school. Also, deals create foot traffic, and at my local store, grill prices dropped, but most of the accessories and add-ons are still regular price.

    Ribs: My Personal Best

No we don't, Pat. I used the setup from a Pitmaster X YouTube video for these ribs, and it will probably be what I use from here on out. I sold my WSM 2 months ago to a really nice guy who was new to smoking and a month after getting a Performer, and I much prefer the Performer! Thanks.

    Ribs: My Personal Best

These were Smithfield Extra Tender Pork Spares that were marked down to $5.52. I trimmed them STL style and applied mustard and rub, wrapped them and placed in the fridge for 16 hours. I got the Performer going at 300*, applied another rub, and on they went. I used Pecan chips for smoke. Here...

Heckuva story! Glad everything worked out the way it did. Enjoy that grill. You earned it!

    no one?

I just used my Q200 yesterday morning to bring some smoked beef ribs from my freezer back to life! I love it. It's my favorite grill. I didn't expect to like it so much, but I do. I traded a seldom used rotisserie for it in May, and used it all the time. Then I did a 96 Genesis restore, and...

    WSM or Kettle

I agree with this. I bought a WSM first, and then an OTG 7 or 8 months later. I paid retail for both. I later sold both and own a Performer. I would buy a used Performer first if there were any do-overs, but I didn't know then what I know now.

    BBQ Hash

That's it! Still very old school. Everybody loves the hash and chicken stew. They do quite a bit of catering too.

    BBQ Hash

Wayne, your hash looks good. Being from Upstate SC myself, I'm very familiar with hash, though I don't eat it. Here in Union, we even have a restaurant, Midway BBQ, who's address is 100 Hash Blvd (for advertising purposes). I honestly never knew what was in it until your post though. I was...
