    Changes made to Weber grills

Larry, not expecting it to do rotisserie, I LOVE that Summit you sold me! I think it is a powerful cooking machine and now that the disappointing firebox design has been overcome with stainless reinforcements, a superbly built grill. As I have said before, probably the best Weber put their name...

    Another 56" Vieluxe Restore

Good news! Motor arrived safe and sound today. A little dirty but working fine. The quality stainless casing polished up very nicely. It is incomparably heavier duty than my OnlyFire (meant for a kettle) and any Weber motor I have seen. Best news is that it fits perfectly on the Vieluxe, and...

    Blue/Sidewinder/330/Restoration/Could Go Any Direction

I actually sold a couple 300 series grills that had the blackout treatment in that price range even here in corn country🌽. Mine did have stainless bottoms and backs, but they weren’t as dazzling as yours!

    Blue/Sidewinder/330/Restoration/Could Go Any Direction

Ooh! That’s really bold! I love it. I believe you said it was a gift, but I would love to see how the market would respond.

My spit is 3/8” in diameter and drops down to 1/4” at the point where it goes in to the motor. It is approximately 46” long and is clearly original. It sounds like you have the motor part solved. Mine will arrive from an eBay seller soon.

New to me Memphis Advantage Plus Pellet Grill/Smoker

I've wanted to try those pecan pellets. Tom Horsman - and others - rave about them. I can at least see they have a different source than just mixes of regular wood. Still pretty pricey, though. I think the best pellets I have used are CookinPellets.com Perfect Mix and Weber's GrillMaster Blend...

The one you linked for me is on the way! I appreciate you sharing your experience. (y) I got the spit and forks all cleaned up and a nice soft package to store them and the motor in. Cody is trading me a couple Summit tighteners that look just like the Vieluxe ones. That will give me 4...

    Another 56" Vieluxe Restore

I would say that the stainless Weber one was original with the grill. The black one maybe is something that the seller picked up later. I wouldn't be surprised if the original one no longer works as that would explain the black one. It will be interesting to see how they test out.

I am guessing that shelf thing is just something the seller added in. Almost wonder if they tried to put a propane tank in there! When you have time, you might post pictures of the two rotisserie motors. (Mine was missing this!) The original had a stainless exterior. It was probably a Weber...

How to : Remove stripped valve screws

Steve, I remember now that I actually bought a can of that based on your recommendation but haven’t used it yet. I will give it a try (along with polishing the valve stems) on my Vieluxe. Stripping one of those valves would be a di$a$ter😖.

How to : Remove stripped valve screws

Plan B meaning lubricating the valve shaft without disassembly? If so, what is your choice of lubricant? I believe automatic transmission fluid has been mentioned.

    Curb Alert !!!

WIth a right-side flip table, that model is one of my very favorites. I used to have one as a daily driver. The blue hood really pops! It would look even better with a black handle.

Grate replacement help for Weber SA-E-330?

Welcome to TVWBB Julie! I agree with the other posts that a really thorough cleaning will put you right back in business. As was mentioned, the top warming tray may be another story. I don't believe those grates are the higher grade 304 stainless, but even if 430 grade they should last for a...

    Another 56" Vieluxe Restore

Mike, You are definitely blessed to have gotten a Vieluxe in much better condition than mine. From burners and flavorizers to the drip pan, your parts look like they are virtually all reuseable. I haven’t been able to do a lot of disassemby yet, but almost all of my internals are clearly toast...

    Another 56" Vieluxe Restore

Welcome, Mike! Definitely a nice grab! Great to have someone else going down this path with me. Be sure to look at the top of the gas grill section for "sticky" threads including ones about the Vieluxe. I hope you will "tag" yours as well. Lots of good advice from those who have gone ahead of...
