Good suggestion. I was using an 18" cookie sheet pan. Next time, I will try one of my 9.5 - 11" pans. Yes, because I was using a larger pan, I was spreading it out more. A smaller pan will prevent that, and make it thicker.

Here's the latest attempt: I was able to remove it from the oven, put it on new dusted wax paper, and roll it with the towel. I was able to unroll it without cracking. After applying frosting, it cracked in the middle as I was rolling it. I then cut it into pieces. Here's the last pic...

This is fixed now. There were a few issues going on, including a broken clip. The handy man fixed it, saving me from an unexpected task this week.

What I mean is that it's stuck so far into the hood vent, that I can't even see the socket holder anymore. It's like I pushed it all the way up through the light bulb hole. Using that illustration above, it's like I pushed part 18 so far up that I can't even see it anymore.

The lightbulb itself is intact and fine, it's the light bulb socket holder (the part that screws into the light bulb) that is stuck in the hood vent.

That's another good point. The WSM comes with @Chris Allingham. Sometimes he even appears on my screen and talks to me in videos. Other appliances don't come with him. :(

I used the skinny skewers this time. Didn't have any breakage issues. I kind of agree with @Jim C in Denver that it's a lot of work, maybe too much work, but once they're on, they are easy to flip. Thanks everyone.
