On my Silver C I removed the side burner and added another flat tray surface for extra room. I never really used the side burner much as it is so windy here. Now it just looks cleaner.

JON, I have these grates on my grill for almost 2 years the grates are not that terrible to keep clean no more real work than stainless steel grates. And love the grill marks.
