I’ve been on Amazon several times shopping for a griddle for my Q1200. I can’t find one griddle that seems good to go.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I used to have that problem at least once each year. I’d remove the thermometer from the lid, open the vents, load the charcoal ring with coals, and let smoker roll.
I now keep the smokers in the garage.
I’ve restored a lot of cast iron and have never had surface rust appear after seasoning it. I always season at least four times before I use it I rinse it out as soon as I’m done cooking and put it back on the burner it was cooking on.
