    Kitchen knife replacement thoughts

I will never buy a full block set again. I would rather spend the same money on a couple of great knives that I actually use. Best knife I've ever used is one we just got fairly recently. https://www.zwilling.com/us/miyabi-artisan-8-inch-chefs-knife-34073-203/34073-203-0.html Also got this...

    Sky Blue Weber Q 2800N

I can also attest that the small trivet fits pretty perfectly on a normal quarter sheet pan.

2 to 2.5 ounce patties for us. Wife likes thin patties. Need them thin for the crispy, lacy edges.

Concerned my Weber Crafted Griddle is not seasoning correctly

Yep, don't waste anymore time with seasoning. Just start cooking on it and keeping it oiled in between. Use enough oil for your cooks and don't expect it to be like a non-stick pan until it is.

    Tornado Cooking

Having lived my entire life in Oklahoma until a year and a half ago when we moved to Georgia.... I can agree that sometimes you gotta keep cooking even when the 'naders show up. lol. You live in tornado alley long enough you know how to read a radar and when you should be worried. I can...

    That's a lot of kettles...

It's not often I look at a grill that's not a Weber and say that's beautiful, but damn that's a beautiful grill. Not sure I'd ever want to cook on it, it's so pretty. lol

Looking at the 22" WSM -- couple questions

I had the 22" WSM and loved it when I had a house full of children and all their friends ready for dinner on any given night. Once the nest emptied I never fired up the "Moon Lander" (that's what I called mine because it was HUGE lol) because I never needed that much food at one time and it...

It's carbon steel but you treat it the same as cast iron. Seasons and cooks the same, essentially.

    Cars Cars Cars

Oh yeah, that's a car man. lol. Toy hauler is definitely for toys. Typically a side by side, a golf cart, or even two Harleys can comfortably be hauled. If we're ever travelling without the cart I might just take my Summit Kamado and my standalone griddle in the camper. lol. Just sayin

Yeah, ours has a tankless water heater, two separately thermostat controlled AC units, solar panels for keeping the battery charged when not hooked up, and encapsulated tanks that won't freeze in cold weather. And, ours is basically an entry level model. The 5th wheels and large coaches get...

    Cars Cars Cars

Mine isn't even a 5th wheel, just a pull behind travel trailer and it has a rated cargo capacity of a little over 4,000 pounds. Even the heftiest side by side is around 2500ish pounds or something around there. My lifted Onward is a little heavy for a golf cart but only comes in around 1200...

Concerned my Weber Crafted Griddle is not seasoning correctly

Yeah, there was too much oil on there. You might start with a tablespoon but you use a paper towel to spread it around and you should leave a layer that's very thin more like it's just evenly greasy to the touch. Heat it up until it starts smoking then turn off the heat and let it cool. The...

    Cars Cars Cars

Some 5th wheels and trailers are toy haulers and some are not. If the back has a big ramp/door it is a toy hauler and it's designed for that.

    Cars Cars Cars

Yep, the back door is also a ramp. the cart rolls right up into the camper. Then while using the camper, the ramp serves as a "party deck" back patio.
