I thought I missed my shot at the item until I saw Weber advertising it over the weekend on social media. I was wondering why they were rubbing my nose in the fact I couldn't get one. Now I see they are at Lowe's. I am really tempted to get one to head to my Weber family. Would be perfect...

I am assuming the college colors ones sell well, so they are trying to branch out. I am fine with my simple black one I got at Wal-Mart, lol.

I bought one about 2 weeks ago at Walmart on clearance. It was pretty much an impulse buy. I have really enjoyed it so far. Quick meals that don't require me to fire up the Performer are perfect for it. I should have pulled the trigger on it sooner.

It looks amazing. But 2,000 is too much for my budget. There are sure to be some people who buy it and have buyer's remorse down the line. I'll start hunting CL and try to get lucky.

Killen's is about an hour away from me, but I haven't ever gone down to check it out. I have Corkscrew BBQ and Godfather's nearby my house. Corkscrew is highly regarded as well. So highly regarded that there is a 2 hour line on the weekends. I don't like BBQ that much.

I do like the fact that Weber is pushing the culture of BBQ, not only it's products.

This line - "We look forward to working with the Stubb's employees to drive increased sales and profit for this business," gave me moment of pause. That implies that there will be changes. I would hope the only change is to improve distribution, but that never happens in situations like this...

I know we have some Stubb's fans here. I am not sure how I feel about it. Hopefully nothing changes with the company. I love their sauces, marinades and charcoal. But great for the Stubblefield family. Has to feel good to get that kind of payday for something you created...

I think it was about 205. That was one thing, I did the "toothpick test" instead of worrying about temp. When a toothpick slid in and out all over the brisket with ease, I knew it was done. I think that in the past I was a bit too reliant on temperature and not being patient.
