I did this once, did the butts first since it was going to be a 13 - 14 hr smoke. With 6 or 7 hours left I put the butts on lower shelve and started the ribs. I'm not sure if there is a wrong way, I'd say it's more about time managment....... and sleep......

Wow that is strange, I figured all Weber may have been shipped from one Amazon Dist center. I would have it inside 2 days from Pa.! So from reading some of the post's on the first arivals I just hope its dent free and machined properly........ I'm going to see if this one will seal up on it's own.

Mine is due tomorrow, shipping to upstate NY from Texas........ Will do ribs on Sunday, it's aleady cool here so will see how it performs in the nort country ....:eek:

I have not cooked a T Day bird in the house since I've owned my performer. So since 1998. Maybe you can ask Sis if she wants an extra bird for sandwhichs after you can bring a small one off the Weber......

Do you think the Amazon orders will be drop shipped to customers or will Weber send them all to Amazon distribution centers first? Dang my stomach is growling........

You guys turned me onto the cubes this spring and its all I use. Nice to know one will light the chimney I have been using two.

Thanks everyone, yes tonight I'll post up some pictures. I did boneless pork chops on it the next day (sunday). Had to clean the top grate up a bit but other than that I just dusted it off.
