Found a WSM, lots of rust?

How do you suggest doing that? I've sprayed the heck out of it with WD-40 and it won't budge at all. </div></BLOCKQUOTE> I just had to cut 2 of mine off with a 4" angle grinder to get them off so I could replace the bolts and clean up the base. Sears Hardware sells the exact same bolt.

My First 18.5" WSM Craigslist Find

I'm starting to hear that the weber themometers are not that good to start with. Some have said I can do better buying a 2" BBQ type thermometer.

My First 18.5" WSM Craigslist Find

It has a "E" stamp code = 1983 In really good shape for being 29 years old. The seller kept pretty good care of it. A small rusty spot on the lid. I can fix that. No dents. I don't think they made them with ash pans back then. The door and legs are made of steel. Not bad for $50 It also came...

You could always have the drill inside a gallon size zip lock bag and poke the shaft through the plastic.

These were longer bolts with a short thread. I cut the thread off and rounded the ends.

charcoal going out when I put the lid on.

Throw on a load of cold meat and it takes a little while to recover. Temp will drop inside. If your charcoal is dying, it sounds like lack of air. Fire must have heat, air and fuel to work.

Made a homemade pork puller just in time for the Mothers Day BBQ. Have wanted to make one for a long time. We can tell Mom we made it just for her. For the Mom that has everything. Nothing says I love you Mom like a Pork Puller! My son cut out the disk with a plasma cutter and I...

    “Frankin-Weber-Cart” - Lots of PICS

It turned out about 2-3 inched shorter than the performer. I didn't think I would like that way. I grill most of the time sitting in a chair so, it worked out better for reaching in and flipping, easier to see. Lower worked out good.
