    Stokerlog Version 6

Amir, can you try using the 5 minute blower off function FROM THE UNIT and see if wifi drops, or stokerlog loses connection after you do that? And I am curious, have any of your "temp changes that caused no problems" come from the unit instead of Stokerlog?

    Pastel Blue Twenty Two

Yeah that was weird. Anyway, Brian, I do not need any, but if I ever do, how much are the handles? I like the way they look.

Need help selecting an ATC for a WSM 18"

This is definitely an "IMO" type of thing, and trending off topic but: If a WSM is so out of round or leaky, I would not resort to gasket material to seal it up or bandaid it. I would really try to correct the out of round either through manipulation or replacement. When constructed properly...

    On gray kettles

Hank, 1974 is right in the sweet spot for the time period that my wild guesses say they were making black kettles that ended up turning gray. Does yours look like this (in terms of wheels and handles):

    On gray kettles

Haha, I think we agree in general Troy, but: One thing you did not mention is that some black kettles may fade while others will not because of a potentially brief change in materials or production process that lasted who knows how long. One year? Three? Less than a year?. That is why I...

    On gray kettles

I was exchanging a couple emails with a BBQ buddy about a grey kettle that he found on CL, in response to my earlier plea about finding colored kettles. We got to taling about the origin of this one, and whether it was simply an aged black one or a true graybeard. Naturally, I have read the...

    zero mod lid hanger.

By the way, the new style handles (darker gray) probably will not work with this trick. I was just looking at a thread with a picture of them and there is no "overhang" on the edge to grab the rim. Keep in mind I have no idea if this dark gray style handle will ever make it to the WSM or if...

    zero mod lid hanger.

Unbelievable. I am not sure I will ever do that, but I can not believe I have never heard of it or seen it! As Kaz said, it definitely works on plastic handles, although the "right angle" of the wood ones seem a slightly more secure fit.

Need help selecting an ATC for a WSM 18"

The stoker manual is available on the Rock's Web site: https://www.rocksbarbque.com/P...FiManual2012rev2.pdf Take a look at page 13, as it shows every menu available on the stoker console. These menus can be used to set target temps, associate blowers to pit sensors, or temporarily suspend...

Need help selecting an ATC for a WSM 18"

Hi Paul. I have held off responding so far, because I did not want to be accused of being a stoker zealot. That being said, I am going to first address this bit here: <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">...

    Stoker ethernet port problem

As Amir states, I have heard from others that the link and activity lights on the new box do not light up. I can confirm this with my own stoker. The ethernet port on mine works as expected (other than the link lights).

OK, Here is the 22 cleaned up, and then put back together. I decided to clean it tonight so I could be sure I am able cook on it tomorrow. All in, 15 bucks for the two grills, and about a dollar for some Dawn, paper towels, and one of those "magic erasers" to clean them with. I'll need to...
