    Weber Grill Covers: quality?

I have had the same experience with Weber premium cover on my Genesis EP-330. There are numerous threads on TVBB about poor Weber cover quality in recent years. Based on comments on TVWBB, I purchased the Veranda cover a month ago for $30.00 on Amazon. Also a cover for my Weber 22.5 Kettle for...

Where can I buy a cover for my 18.5?

Where can I buy a cover for my 18.5?

Weber covers are not the best quality. I recently bought a Veranda cover for my Weber Kettle and Genesis grill, based on positive comments on this site. I just received it last week, and it is much better quality than the Weber covers, and also cheaper in price. Here is a link to a cover for...

Buying a Weber gasser .. recommendations?

I agree that the painted exterior is easier to clean and keep looking good, compared to the SS. I bought the gray EP-330 for that reason, plus it was cheaper than the SS version.

Moving to gas -- Genesis v. Summit? Need some advice

When a purchased my Genesis EP-330 a few years ago, I compared it to the Summit Series. The Summit series is several hundreds of dollars ($800?) more than the top end Genesis that I ended up getting. I couldn't justify the added price for the Summit. I am very happy with the Genesis.

    Grilling whole onions

I do something similar with onions, except i totallly wrap them in aluminum foil. In the onion cavity, in addition to the butter, I usually add either a beef bouillon cube or a teaspoon of diced garlic. The beef version comes out like french onion soup. The garlic version is great to cook on...

    First time ribs

I just took a rib class today put on by Andy Groneman, a pitmaster and competition griller from Kansas City. I also cook ribs on a 22" kettle. Here are a few things that were discussed. Cooking at 225 deg will take about 5 hours total. 250 will take 4 hours total. Cook indirect - the coals...

    Coleman..... the other gasser.

Your post reminds me that I still have a 1959 model Coleman stove that my dad bought. It has the red fuel tank that burns Coleman fuel. The metal gage used on that is thicker than most cars have today, it is very stout.

Accidentally turning knobs on my Genesis E-330

I had a coleman gas grill for 15 years and never turned off the propane tank and never had a problem. 3 months after getting my Genesis E-330 I must have accidently turned a knob putting the cover on. I lost about half a tank of propane. Now I turn the tank off after every usage.

    Bacon shrinkage

When I fry or microwave bacon, I sprinkle a little bit of flour on it. It reduces the amount of curling and shrinkage.

    Cast Iron Skillet

Congrats on your new CIS. Last weekend I cooked mushrooms and scallops in wine sauce in a 1955 model Wagner CIS. This skillet was given to my parents as a wedding gift 57 years ago and it still cooks great.
