    Black. If I can figure out how to post pix I'll do it. Anthony, I had read that the Webr cover isn't waterproof and the P will sit outside. That and the price diff was the dealbreaker. Not ot say thay el cheapo won't last thru he summer and I get the Weber cover anyway!!

    About 3PM CDT courtesy of my friendly,regular UPS dude. He looked st the box and said" YOUR GETTING A PERFORMER"!! He said he has Weber products. Took about 30 minutes to assemble. You can really tell Weber quality in the fit and finish. I found a reall ycheap generic cover at Lowes' this...

    Lighting performer

    While waiting(anxiously) for my Performer to arrive I looked at the manual at Weber.com. The instructions for lighting say to fill the two baskets with charcoal,push them together over the burner and light. Is this the way most owners do it or do they use a chimney.

    Performer cover

    I just ordered myself a Performer form Amazon for my 64th birthday. Supposed to be delivered on the 18th. I was wondering about covers. The "official" Weber covers run in the 35-40 range. Anything generics out there cheaper?

    Prime rib roast on the WSM

    I cooked one last week but used the 22-1/2" Kettle instead of the WSM. No problems. On at 5PM off at 7PM 125 internal. Lifted the lid twice to rotate the meat. Dome temp about 350-375 which usually runs a few deg higher thangrate temp.

    We use the Reynolds a lot. And not just for freezing things. We like really good cheeses but they are expensive. We use the bags to keep our cheeses as they can be resealed countless times.The cheese last a long time.

    Michele, You might be able to use a pan that is made to sit a water heater into for leak protection. They have ahole in the side of them for a drain bout you can probaly got somePVC pipe to close it or just duct tape.

    Craig, My wife and I travel to La. to go grocery shopping once/teice a year. I thin kit's great that strawbs and crawfish are both tin seasona t the same time. We hit Pontchatoula for strawbs and back to Acadiana for crayfish. Get to listen to KBON both ways!!

    Butane Lighters

    Todd, I have a Zippo brand lighter that looks similar to the Colibri. I got it for lighting candles in the house. Mostly because it looks nice. Works well BUT the "child/adultproof" function makes it almost a 2 ahnd move. So I rarely use it. Be sure to try them out before you buy.
