    Flare Ups using Minion Method

If I have my wood chunks laying on top and a couple of them catch fire at the same time, I'll see a temperature spike. I try to either bury the wood or space them so they don't light at the same time.

Is buying direct from Weber the best option? (new 26”)

Or I would buy from a local store so you won't have to worry about shipping damage and the time it takes to get replacement parts. Sometimes the local hardware will offer a slight discount after Labor Day.

It might be time to let go... Or seek counseling. :)

SOLD QuliMetal 7620 17.5" Flavor Bars for Weber Genesis 300 Grill

I'm flipping an older Genesis E310 and figured I'd use the flavorizer bars I bought on Amazon 3 years ago. The problem is, I never looked at them and just put them on a shelf. These fit the newer (front dial) genesis and I have an older side control model...

    Meat loaf

We found the secret to hot horseradish was to dig it in the fall, usually late Sept. https://www.ihaveadotcom.com/horseradish.htm The absolute best store bought I've found is St Elmo's Extra hot. It's crazy hot and will light you up.

    Chicago Hot Dog Salad

Sorry but I'm with Tim. A real Chicago Dog is so hard to get outside of Chicago and finding a local source is a rare treat. I've even seriously considered ordering the kits from Vienna Beef but just can't bring myself to spend that much for hot dogs. A salad version seems sacrilegious. If...

Have you heard of an Orion Cooker / Smoker

It looks like the same principal as Turkey In a Bucket. A 12 lb turkey takes about an hour and is juicy and delicious. https://www.ihaveadotcom.com/Bucketbird/bucketbird.htm

    Hamburgers Hotdogs on Homemade buns

A couple of times a year I make Rye Bread and splurge on Reuben sammies and Patty Melts. Momma doesn't like Rye so I take a warm loaf to the local watering hole. I use the King Arthur recipe that calls for 3/4 cup of dill pickle juice and it's delicious...

Anyone else scared to death right now?

I'm scared by the total lack of security when anyone with a lick of sense should have known this could happen. Today we're seeing offices of Congress people that were left unprotected while rioters rooted through sensitive files and computers. Anyone in law enforcement that was surprised by...

    Trouble with the mail?

I had several Priority Mail packages get "stuck" last month after being received by the Fort Wayne Post Office around the 9'th. The last two were finally logged in at the Indy sorting center on Jan 2 and have once again gone MIA.

Grilling thin-cut steaks on Weber Kettle

You can try to explain that she's not saving money on the thin steaks as they're the same price per pound as the thick ones. Kroger's and other stores slice their steaks thin because that's what sells. People will buy two thin steaks for $12 each but will pass up a thicker steak for $18...

Vortex makes a GBS style grate with removable center

I'd have to pass on that. It's the same price as I paid for the Weber 8835 with the heavy stainless rods and flip up sides on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0044EQM9Q/?tag=tvwb-20

    Lamb & Weston crisis!

I'm finding the Weston crinkle cut for $3 in all the discount stores around here for some reason. I used to be only able to find them at Kroger but now I've seen them at Starve A Lot, Family Dollar, Dollar general, etc.
