    Summer’s comin’ just not yet

We’ve been in a bit of a cool spell since the first of the year. On New Years Eve the local weather was 46°F and rain changing overnight to +8°F and 10 inches of snow on New Years Day. Since then we’ve been on the south side of Zero bouncing between -17°F and -5°F. The latest word is cold to...

    Briquettes vs. Lump?!

Chris has a great article all about charcoal you may want to read. https://www.virtualweberbullet.com/all-about-charcoal/ A large number of users go with Kingsford Blue bag or “KBB”. Eyelet Kit for WSM

I think Thermoworks has some Type K probes that don't have the large lump of silicone at the junction. But I would be inclined to notch the barrel or retrofit a grommet that the newer models have.

    Old refrigerator question

If you're not going to need the extra space then shut it down and unplug it. Wipe it down with a mild bleach solution. Such the cat/dog hair out of the coils under it. Clean the drip pan under it. And prop the doors open. Save wear on the compressor and fans. Those and the icemaker should be the...

    Keeping Thanksgiving feast warm ?

We make extensive use of crockpot and the back porch (if cold enough) to keep the hots hot and the colds cold. I tend to keep an eye on food safety.

    Thanksgiving 2019 Turkey
