Early 1970s Small Tab Red Weber Grill 18" Ebay

I take it you mean that there are no wooden handles on the handle straps? A 70s collectible that looks in grate condition. I'd be tempted at an accepted best offer of $190. I like it.

    2 zone grilling set up

I'm waiting on this to be delivered. Foil the drip-pan part for easy clean up, & to direct airflow through the fuel. Currently I'm using a couple of firebricks as a firewall, & foiled the charcoal grate up to the bricks to, again, direct airflow through the fuel. Edit: Available for 18, 22 &...

Blues Hog BBQ Warehouse on Fire!

KSDK 5 On Your Side News Quote: "Why is the fire burning so many hours later?" Have these news anchors never heard of Low & Slow or the Minion Method? I'll get my coat.

Blues Hog BBQ Warehouse on Fire!

Boo! On Saturday I used Blues Hog pecan chunks to smoke a butt & some ribs. Edit: A couple of days ago I watched a bbq programme that was a Whole Hog Comp, (Memphis in May). All contestants were planning for a 20+ hr cook on their pits. Blues Hog rocked up, with what I think was a 500 gallon...

Top tip: If you don't want your significant other to buy that expensive new top, blouse, pantaloons or jaunty hat, just tell her that you like it, and that your ex had one very similar. You're welcome Gentlemen.

This year is the 203rd anniversary of the birth of the inventor of the starting pistol, who happened to be the sister of Karl Marx. . . . Her name was Onya.

    Dome Thermometer

Update: For those wishing to install a thermometer at grate level without drilling the dome or a new hole in the barrel. After changing out the Weber dome therm for a more reliable Tel-Tru one, what to do with the old Weber one? I'll use it to measure the temp at the top cooking grate. Do I need...

    Anyone ever seen beef cheeks?

I love 'em! I've done these quite a few times over the last 8-9 years. I wouldn't hesitate to encourage you to go for it. I treat them exactly how I cook PSB, as they can get a little dry. Edit: However, if you want to go down the pulled only route don't trim all the fat cap off, it helps with...

Temperature probes compatibility among grilling thermometers?

Not necessarily Chad. I know for certain my Thermoworks & ThermoPro probes were not compatible with my Mav-732, & vice-versa. (I don't have the Mav any more). The jack-plugs on both the TW & TP are too short for the Mav jack-plug socket, & the Mav jack-plug is too long for the TW & TP jack-plug...

Burning out a new SS Smoketube

It's not often you see galvanised SS. But it is out there, I've seen it. Usually it's used to coat sub-standard SS. So it doesn't surprise me to learn that some cheap Chinesium SS is galvanised. If it worries you Jonas, do a sacrificial burn. 30 lit briqs or lump in a basket, fill the tube with...

Hey Weber, how about one for us 18.5 kettle users?

    Weber Wobbly Wheel Fix

Update: Got tired of those ugly, plastic OEM wheels, so I decided to change them out for a pair of solid rubber 5-spoke mags, with integral bearings. (These particular wheels are for e-scooters, available from JOSE's). The shaft collar can be pushed tight to the inner race as it sits about 0.5mm...

    Dome Thermometer

I'm with Keith J. above. The TT BQ225 is a grate fit for the Weber bezel. No mods req'd. Straight replacement. What I also did do was put a fibre washer between the wing-nut and the inside of the lid so it can be snugged up without fear of cracking the porcelain finish.

    Cool Wheels for Kettle

Here you go Joe....& timothy. I also put 1 x 3/8" ID SS washers on the backside of the wheel, & one washer behind the shaft collar, (pictured). This allowed for any slack to be taken up as I wanted the shaft collar flush with the end of the axle. The shaft collar is tightened with an...

New from ThermoWorks: RFX wireless meat probe thermometer

@Bruno Correct. I asked the same question to the tech gurus at TW. Quote: "It is not recommended to use an RFX Meat probe to measure the ambient temperatures inside your smoker. The probes are designed to operate in the conditions of being placed in food."
