    Kingsford Charcoal Problems?

I was going to say the same as Philip & suggest the fuel had taken on a bit of moisture. That has happened to me on a few occasions, the temps wouldn't come up as normal & the briqs fell apart. Annoying. Just a suggestion, tap two dry briqs together, they will have a bit of a ring to them. Now...

    Wagyu Denver Steaks

Not traditionally with steak Brett. (Not here anyway). But mushy-peas are a must with any fried fish or a hot meat pie & gravy. However, if there had been a side of mushy-peas on the above plate I would not have turned my nose up at them. I love mushy peas! 🤤

Carrying on from my post in the "Grilling" forum, today I got to cook these two beautiful Wagyu Denver Steaks. It was a special celebratory milestone cook. It's been a tough 18 months. The stars of the show. Two 11.6oz Wagyu Denver Steaks. I've never seen marbling on a steak like this before...

Ideal time to add Boston Butt

I have everything ready to go. Meat on, probes in, lid on. Dump the lit briqs in, do the cold squat, then let everything come up together....maybe 45-60 minutes before I have to fettle the vents for my desired cook temp. (Time enough to get showered & a bite of breakfast).

    Wagyu Steak Cook

My thoughts exactly Richard. (y) I don't want to "throw these into the weeds," so I'm going to have to be on my game. Med/rare is where it's at. I'm not concerned about the smoke flavour.

Mahogany is a Good Color for a Turkey

Looks grate Keith. (y) Any particular reason the door on the WSM is on upside down?

    Wagyu Steak Cook

I picked up two 330g (11.65oz), 1.25" thick Wagyu steaks for a celebratory milestone cook this Friday evening. I have never cooked one of these before on a grill, and was wondering if anyone here has and could maybe give any tips / advice? I was thinking of using the vortex upside down on the...

The bad touch! (thank you dear enablers)

That when inverted makes a ripping-hot searing station, & there's plenty of room on the peripheral to move the steaks to indirect. Grate score Jonas.(y)

    Amazon Black Friday Week

I feel we should be running a Black Friday Anonymous thread alongside this one. Because at the present rate I'm pressing "Buy Now" I'm going to require some form of counselling after this weak[sic] is finished. 🤕

    Manual Meat Grinder

I'm no expert Dan, but from what I've been reading some people leave it on, but most say to remove as much as possible as it apparently gets caught around the cutting blade. Sinew, tendon etc should not be used in the grinder as again it gets wrapped around the cutting blade.

    Manual Meat Grinder

Took delivery today. It's built like a tank! All SS. The suction cup base is solid as a rock! I couldn't budge it a millimeter once I attached it to the counter-top. It comes with a six-inch "cheater pipe" to get the suction cup lock-handle rotated over 180˚. I'll test-drive it this week...
