    Tarka Dhal (Lentil).

Carrying on the Indian theme from timothy's Madras Lentils, this very popular Indian side dish is excellent with bbq pork, chicken or lamb. But just as tasty on its own. It's easy to make. The Dhal. (Ingredients) ▢ 1 cup (190g) red lentils (masoor dal) ▢ 3 cup of water ▢ 1 green chilies...

    2. The charcoal & cooking grates. 304 SS please. Change those nasty plastic wheels/push on hub caps. Fugly/cheap & useless. (WWWS. Weber Wobbly Wheel Syndrome). A GBS for the 18.5" kettle. 4. A SS WSM. Yeah I know this is a unicorn wish. (Wish in one hand, and crap in the other and see...

Is anyone watching the drama series Landman ?

Nitpicking the use of a pipe-wrench is somewhat pedantic. However, the drama, for me, was the working on a live system under pressure. The loose "Weco" union had me wincing. Maybe that gets addressed in the next episode when the investigation of the accident takes place? (I've only seen the...

Is anyone watching the drama series Landman ?

I don't think he's using the pipe-wrench backwards. If it was on backwards the pipe-wrench would have "broke its bite" and flew off when he hit it with the hammer. But there are three things wrong with that scene. Why are they working on a "live" system under pressure? (Never, ever hammer on...

Anyone else love grilling in sub freezing temps?

Absolutely, as long as it's not windy. Cooked up these two pork-loin steaks for tea last night. It was -5˚C, (22˚F). My beer bottle froze to the q-table, (out of shot).

    Finally pulled the Wagyu trigger

I cooked a couple of Wagyu steaks a few weeks ago. Due to the nature of the meat searing over open coals flare-ups were going to be an issue. So I turned a Vortex upside down on the charcoal grate, filled it with hot briqs, put the cooking grate on & then placed my SS diffuser from the WSM right...

    Smoking in the rain

@PeterSims This is my set up on my 14.5 when there is light rain. (A baked bean tin with holes drilled at three points, & it doesn't restrict the chimney effect). Heavier rain you'll need something to cover the WSM with. I've used a golf or patio umbrella in the past. (All you TWS-haters look...

How do you use the grommet?

I use the grommet to plug that big hole in the centre section.

    B&B Char-logs?

Char-Logs: AKA Gatling Barrels or Robot Turds. They are perfect for Hibachi type grilling. (I set up a hibachi type grill, using firebricks, on my kettle). I've used the coco-shell variety many times for h'n'f grilling. I like 'em. I've also used the binchotan type too. They burn hot, hot...

Strong work WC! 🤤 Why do people treat bacon like that? Is nothing sacred anymore? Sprouts are the devil's food. ;)
