Yeah, I know. That's why I posted the suggestion. :)

    Weber Kettle Performer Mods

Au contraire. Edit: The Weber wheels are, in my opinion, cheap 'n' nasty. "R" clips? Are you kidding me? I must admit they are marginally better than those push-on caps. "The Sacred Orb" deserves better.

    Weber Kettle Performer Mods

Andrew. If you buy those wheels which Josh suggests, you may want buy some 3/8" (9.5mm) shaft collars for the axles. Much better than the 'R' clips that are provided, & are cheap to buy. They will allow you to snug the wheel against the legs & no dreaded wheel wobble. I bought some 3rd party...

    The Humor Thread

I love how the English language can be manipulated. A young artist is exhibiting his work for the first time, & a very well-known art critic is in attendance. The critic asks the artist: "Would you like my opinion on your work?" "Yes", replies the artist. "It's worthless", says the...

    The Humor Thread

 A rare, in the wild, photo of the founding member of Neighbourhood Watch. [aka Mrs. Smith, the lesser-spotted curtain twitcher at No.24].* *When I was a kid that was one of our neighbour's a few doors away. Nothing got by her! Much to the annoyance of my backside! [It was uncanny that my...

Is she the lover that won't blow your cover? Just noticed the eagle perched on the top-left window ledge.

Pork Rib with belly still attached

M Me. It's quite common here. I get the butcher to cut the skin off - [make pork-scratchings] - & trim them St. Louis style. Keep the trimmings!! Then smoke them like I would the beef short ribs I get.

    Check this out!

Mike's a nice guy. No 3-2-1 fotb ribs with Mike! 1.5 hrs....boom! I actually like it. I also like that little hole for a dome-therm too! *Runs off to Amazon UK to investigate* 😯 Only 1 left in stock.

    Check this out!

Looks similar to a Cobb grill. [I've been toying with getting one of these. But they are not for use on the stovetop].

    SS Mini-Chimney

Deffo Richard. And for £16.99 you can't beat that with a big stick!

7 lb. beef chuck eye of round roast

Craig. If the cut of beef you have is anything like the pic that Darryl posted, [called silverside over here], then taking it anywhere north of 140IT on the smoker you'll end up with boot leather. Cook it [slow on the smoker] to 125IT and you'll have fantastic roast beef. Or as timothy says...

    SS Mini-Chimney

It seems that the full range of GF grills are only available in the UK. I wonder why that is? I thought he was more famous in the USA than anywhere else.

    RIP George Foreman

A grate fighter. Loved those fights against Norton & Frazier. He was 40 & 0 when he came up against Ali, [Rumble in The Jungle]. He finished 76 & 5. What a record! And thanks for the GF Quick-Fire™ chimney! Grate product! RIP Sir.

7 lb. beef chuck eye of round roast

There are conflicting opinions on whether round is suitable for shredding or not. I have never used a cut so lean for shredding as there is no fat to keep it moist. I take it to 125IT and slice it, or make jerky out of it. But if the cut you have has some nice marbling then you could get it to...

    SS Mini-Chimney

I agree, [from my experience]. I had a SS Broil-King chimney which had the perforated plate on the bottom. Rubbish! By the time the top briqs were getting lit the bottom briqs were half spent! Plus the perforated plate warped horribly. I gifted it to an unsuspecting, but grateful friend. 🥷

    SS Mini-Chimney

Just did an experiment to see if this chimney lights a small batch faster, or slower, than the WC chimney. Using 16 Weber Coco-Shell briqs & two Weber Natural Firelighters. [It's pretty much accepted that coco-shell briqs take a wee bit longer to get going]. 13' 50" later. This would be the...

Full Cast Iron Griddle - 22.5" Kettle

The email I received, from a retailer, states that it is cast-iron. But the Weber (US) website says it's carbon-steel. Weber (UK) says it's porcelain enamelled cast-iron. Take your pick. 🤷‍♀️ The handles are stainless steel. The holes you see are grease removal slots.

    Weber kettle restoration

Hi Pete. Once you've cleaned up the lid & bowl, new ash-sweeps, new cooking grate etc. Get rid of that manky charcoal grate! It will detract from all the other good work you've done. [Buy stainless steel grates. There's plenty of choice on Amazon]. Rust spots? Feather the spots with wire wool...
