Should I go with the 18.5" or 22.5"?

I am probably going to buy an 18.5 tomorrow, and likely sell my 22.5. I also have a big pellet smoker, so I do not need all the room of the 22.5, plus I like the long cook times of the 18.5

    Kingsford competition

I use them all the time...in fact used them a few min ago for a brisket cook. I like the fast start up, less ash, and the smell starting is better imo.

    Can't Decide: 18.5 or 22.5 WSM

I had a 18.5 for about 4 years, and the last 4 with a 22.5. I often wish I still had my 18.5 as it accomodates most cooks I do, and uses less charcoal, is easier to transport, and burns longer on the fuel in my experience. Love the extra room though on those times I need it...

    Costco charcoal sale

I use both, but prefer the KC COMP overall. It will end up being like $16 and some depending on your area after the discount. I think it smells better lighting up, and less ash.

How do you slice a brisket?

I went to Pecan Lodge while on a trip in October, and waited like 40 min in a long line to arrive at the counter and they were sold out of almost everything but sausage and ribs. I really wanted the brisket, and was not too impressed with that I ended up with. Back to the topic- I always...

Has anyone dipped their toes into the pellet grill world?

I find that I much prefer my brisket off the WSM so far. I know they sell smoke tubes and stuff, but I have not tried it. Been very happy with everything but the brisket off the pellet smoker. I did a WSM Brisket this past weekend..but at the time I put it in foil, I usually put it in the rec...

Has anyone dipped their toes into the pellet grill world?

I have...after just being a WSM guy for like 9 years, I went out and got a REC TEC in November...and I love it!. It was not to replace my WSM, but an addition.
