Kamado Summit Kamado S6 Release Date?

When I talked to them about my E6 replacement, I was told mid to late January for the redesign of the E6. I am not sure if the S6 will follow that schedule.

    2nd generation Weber Summit charcoal

@RMiles , did they contact you about the new one being sent to you? I have talked to the weber rep (don't want to drop his name on the internet), and he has been really cool about it, but I have not heard an update from him since our chat before Christmas. No anxious or anything, the wobbler...

    2nd generation Weber Summit charcoal

No problem at all. It would interesting to try both to see if there is a difference. I’m not sure there would be for the way I am using the cooker. The way that the indirect piece is relatively far from the cooking grid probably negates any design differences between the two.

    2nd generation Weber Summit charcoal

Hey @Dustin Flavell , I went and snapped a pic of it for you. It even has somewhat of a "bowl" so that if you foiled it it would collect grease in it. Not knocking the old one, but I don't see this one as a step down . Its a piece of stainless, and I could venture it might last a long time in...

    2nd generation Weber Summit charcoal

I thought I would throw in my opinion of the E6 after using it a few times. Weber is making it right, and I have full confidence in them doing so. However, I am incredibly impressed with the grill at this price point. I have about three cooks on it since assembly last week, and it is just an...

    2nd generation Weber Summit charcoal

I got it set up and in my back yard to use until waiting for the new one. The wobble and wheel issues were incredibly apparent going from the garage to the back yard. I fear I would have taken this back if I did not know a new one was coming. But for now it is stationary and the wheel issue...

What wood do you like when smoking turkey?

Apple only here, we like smoke to be a secondary flavor on turkey.

    2nd generation Weber Summit charcoal

I bought the new E6 Kamado as I am a Kamado head of sorts with my big green eggs. I had high expectations, but quality issues on the cart even going together correctly bothered me. I did some searching and found this thread to read about troubles others had, and what Weber was going to do. I...

New Weber pellet grills for 2020

I am going to buy the EX4. I have so many other cookers, capacity is not an issue for me. I could possibly see the EX4 consuming less fuel, and having better temp control compared to the EX6. This of course is speculation on my part. My only casualty on my patio will be the Weber gasser from...

    Meater

Why would you have the block inside? I would leave the block by the cooker. I use mine all of the time with my WSMs and kamados, and I leave an old iPad next to the cooker so it can easily connect to it, and the iPad connects to the internet so that I can track and view my cook in the app on...

    WSM 18" v WSM 22"

I love my 22”. I don’t feel it has any negative aspects over the 18”. It does take a little more fuel, but it cooks so much more food. I feel it cooks the same, but I don’t worry about chamber temp as much as I focus on food temp. My method for the 18” & the 22” is the same. I load the coal ring...

What was your first smoker ?

I guess technically my first smoker was a 22” kettle. Great cooker. My first real smoker was a 18” WSM. I Then moved to big green eggs, but still have and love my WSMs.

    Time to stop buying...

Jon, don’t worry, you don’t have a problem. These are some of mine. No Weber’s in the picture, but trust me I have those too.

Not a Weber but what is it?

Someone with a kamado joe bottom, and a big green egg top. I was going to do the same with two of my kamados to make a christmas special. I was going to swap the domes on my big green egg mini max and kamado joe jr. But christmas is over, so maybe next year .... :)
