    New Toy for Christmas

Got a new toy for Christmas this year. PKTS Camping tailgate portable unit. It breaks down & is easy to move. Aluminon shell. And will ride in the crawl space of the RV. The wheel frame which is very light can ride in either the back of the truck or the floor of the RV. I have done 3 low & slow...

Aaron Rodgers changed his name. This is what happens when you take unapproved drugs. Why we are on the subject how about those Cowboys. Guess that they had a bye-week.

Best LITTLE gas grill outside Texas?

As far as the name Genesis & breaking the mold what ever that means. Didn't Genesis blow up in the Star Trek movie? LOL I hope that the grill has better luck.

Best LITTLE gas grill outside Texas?

Joe, The reason that I bought my Pro 285 is because it didn't have shelves. No room for that in my RV storage area. Our grills sit on a camping table which provides way more space than a couple small shelves that are attached to a gas grill. I believe this guy wanted one with small wheels to...

Best LITTLE gas grill outside Texas?

LMichaels says that Pro 285 is a downsized gas grill from their bigger units. Well, isn't that what the man says he wanted to use on his small deck? The Weber Q grill looks like something that you would take to the park every Saturday. And it doesn't look as heavy built as the Napoleon unit...

Best LITTLE gas grill outside Texas?

Yea Joe, the Weber go anywhere portable is much more portable & lighter. It must weigh 5 lbs? But it doesn't come close to the grilling- low & slow smoker that the Oklahoma Table top is. Plus I see it being much more safe in dry grass or windy conditions that the Weber is. And at 50 lbs it...

Best LITTLE gas grill outside Texas?

If I was you I would check out the Napoleon Phantom TravelQ 285 Pro camping gas grill. You can do off side direct using one burner for heat or you can use both burners for hot grilling. Cast iron wave grates, I actually carry one in my RV for times when charcoal is outlawed in the forest. I've...

Looking for a new charcoal grill

The grill you are looking for is called a Hasty Bake. They do it all. Direct, indirect, a heat shield for true smoking. Adjustable charcoal tray. Access from the side so that you can add charcoal. Made & assembled in the USA. I believe that they have been in business longer than Weber. They have...

    What is everyone's favorite charcoal?

As far as best charcoal; of course its the DEVIL. Jealous Devil to be exact. Actually I did a review on this charcoal on the Weber site a few years ago. Maybe you can look it up. Reasons that I like it the most: 1. I love the axe breaker smell at start up. It smells like BBQ victory. Also...

Review: BBQ Brisket Fries at Wienerschnitzel

No wonder I quit eating foods like that years ago, including hot dogs. Maybe that is why @ 63 yrs of age I feel healthy. That kind of stuff is poison to the body.

    Hump Day Brisket

ChuckO, we are doing fine. Always watching the site & seeing what everyone else is up to. Seems to be more of a gas grill/pellet site these days. But I just do my thing. Stay safe & stay healthy.

    Hump Day Brisket

Michael, I love the M1. because it can do so many things. Underneath the bottom is a insulated fire pit when you just want to use fire wood & use it solely as a smoker. Or if you want to grill it has a moveable charcoal grate with a hand crank to move the charcoal up or down. You can grill...

    Hump Day Brisket

Lone Mtn Wagyu Brisket. M1 stick burner. Hickory wood for BTU. 6 hours, 275*, Wrapped in brown paper another 4 hours @ 200*. Rested wrapped in towel in cooler for 2 hours. Sliced and you can see the results. Old school BBQ at my house at its best. Was it as good as it looked? Absolutely...
