    Baby backs on the wsm

I don't know, it is heavy and heavy duty. It will probably survive the dump for many years. First and last time I ever used it. Now know I don't like them and not scrubbing them either

Looks great, I like it. Wheels look like good quality, where did they come from and what do they cost?

Stubbs natural briquettes, $2.50 a bag

Glad to those of you who scored. Some turned a great deal into something even better. I have 11 bags plus 10 bags of kbb so not sure I will pounce on any July 4th sales.

    Texas Brisket

Interesting. A few years ago when I was into the bbq more, the high heat was the rage for brisket. I just bought one and was likely to go high heat but will need to reconsider now. The one I did do high heat, was fabulous but I may not have been as critical of it

    Filet Mignon...on sale? Why yes!

I'm not a big filet person but those look really good. More marbling than I'm used to seeing in filets so I bet they were good. Nice job on the cook.

Baby backs, large or small size?

I bought some bb ribs and the pkg was 3 lbs. the bones seemed a bit large for bb. Made me wonder, is it better to pick smaller, 2 lb slabs vs large or is the quality of the the meat all the same?

Stubbs natural briquettes, $2.50 a bag

I guess I will go back and get more. The price per pound is 16 cents vs 27 cents for kings ford, and the Stubbs has good reviews.

    Baby backs on the wsm

First time I used the rib rack. Didn't like it, tossed it in the trash, I'm not washing that damn thing plus, it was hard to get the ribs out when it was time to foil.

    Baby backs on the wsm

This is the first time in years that I use the WSM almost forgot how to operate it. The ribs are still cooking but I'm on the final stage of the 2/1.5/1 cooking method. For fun, I also put a half a dozen wings on the smoker for two hours they are not yet finished. I know these ribs are wet, I...

Brisket, finally found a packer, and cheap

Went to Walmart, scored in several fronts but one was a 12 lb packer regularly $3 a pound but with a yellow sticker so marked down to $1.79/lb. I believe it is choice. Do you recommend the high heat method or low and slow?

Stubbs natural briquettes, $2.50 a bag

Went to Walmart (edit, lowes) today, they have Stubbs on clearance for $2.50 for the 15 lb bag. I'm sure this is store specific and not wide spread but seemed like a really good deal. I already bought 4 double packs of kbb and...I didn't know what u all thought of Stubbs so I only purchased one...

    New performer $198 at walmart

I went to Walmart today and saw 3 of the 2013 weber performers on clearance for $198. It appears the original price was $298. This same model today is now $349. Anyway, no,deluxe models but I thought this was pretty good. I bet Walmart would consider further reducing the price if someone asked...

Weber covered my bail assembly, was surprised

I have heard it was for original owners though have also heard some say that the warranty doesn't state that. I've never looked. In my case, they didn't even ask if I was the original owner, although I did tell her that I own 6-7 weber products. Maybe that helped, maybe not. I just needed the...

Weber covered my bail assembly, was surprised

You all have seen my recent posts with my new used blue performer deluxe. Everything works fine other than I noticed the grey rollers weren't rolling. I took them off and they looked slightly melted, not much but a little. Called weber and told them, they are sending me a completely new bail...

Handle too hot to handle! Ideas?

Ok, I guess my experience with my new 2010 performer is normal, at least by Webern standards today. I wonder what changed bc my 2000 OTP had a plastic handle too. It barely got above warm, and never hot. Ti almost dropped the lid on the performer it was so hot. Looks like people just...

First cook on the performer, I have mixed feelings

Well put...maybe that's the biggest thing, I was simply so used to what I had that this just doesn't feel right, doesn't make it bad just different. The OTP had so much seasoning it just didn't leak, so fire and temp control was easyily controlled. This one is close to new, very little use so...

First cook on the performer, I have mixed feelings

I realize every grill can be a bit different from the other and as you can tell from my signature, I have a good amt of experience with a variety of cookers. Have used many more over the years, however, my go to grill has always been my 2000 OTP as mentioned in various posts of late. It was a...
