    Rigging a Rib Rack?

If you'll scroll down to the bottom of Kevin's link you'll see how he utilized an inexpensive rib rack for, I believe 12 or 14 racks of ribs. Paul

Just bought Smokey Joe Platinum 18.5

Thanks Rich I must have been having a senior moment because I know both the Gold and old Plat SJs have the side vents - I have a Gold SJ and that's what I didn't like about the vent system. I bought a Silver with the single vent on the bottom and like its air flow much better. Paul

Please help: Lid of WSM stuck to body!!

People like Doug D (is there anybody really like Doug ) will give you very wise, research supported advice on food saftey. I, however, will simply tell you what I do that hasn't hurt me, to my knowledge. I always leave very large, thick cuts of meat out several hours to begin the thawing...

Kinda slow here today...Weber Gas Grill Serial Numbers

I had a Genesis 2000 of the same vintage. It went 12 years and I thought of rebuilding it, but instead replaced it. I live within 30 miles of the beach and that may be why I got significant corrosion on the cart. When doing a take apart cleaning, I then found a couple of holes in the firebox...

    Rotis ham

Thanks Kevin But, I got lazy, decided I didn't want to clean the rotis, so threw it on the WSM for a high heat cook. Paul

    Rotis ham

I'm thinking of doing an 8 lb butt end partially cooked ham on my EZ Que, rather than the WSM later this afternoon. Reasons - it'll be a short cook, use less fuel ... and, I've never done one on a rotis before. Anybody had experience and have comments or tips ? Paul

Having some trouble with my Silver B

Call Weber CS. If the burners have gone 7 years, they may be pushing the limit. Removing the burners and cleaning is certainly a good first choice. Paul

Pork Butt and Chicken- Will this work.

My only suggestion would be sure the whole chickens are at not right out of the frig when you add them. Even at that, they'll be a new heat sink which will suck up some of your temp. I would be prepared to add more fuel at that point or maybe a little before I added the chickens to be sure I...

60 briskets over the weekend! w/ pics

Paul I inherited a pit like that, I think ... it came with a lakehouse I bought in SC. Actually it had been used by the man that built the cottage, 40 years ago to cook whole hogs. I've been debating what to do with it. Is the stone pit open, or does it have some type of lid to hold the heat...

    indirect on an e320

Congrats ! I bet you'll be well pleased with it. I just don't believe you can do better than Weber unless, maybe, you get to the super high end stuff like DCS, Fire Magic, Viking, etc. I have no intention of spending 4 to 7 thousand on a gas grill, and I seriously doubt if they have CS equal...

    Heat Source

Jamie I agree that the gas vs charcoal experience is very different and that can certainly contribute to your impression of the taste of the product. Weber says however, in their tests there is no significant difference in the tase using either heat source based on their testing. I use both...

    2007 Summit S-450 or S-650?

I would be surprised if you found discounted prices on the 450 and/or 650. I would think Amazon, through this site, would as as good as any. I plan on a 450 and think I'll go that way. Whoops ... the above was being posted as I typed. Maybe you can get a better deal. Paul
