    For cheese, Keep your heat below 95°. 6 briquettes may be to many to start. Try 2, plus a fist sized chunk of wood split into 3rds. Use apple, pecan or cherry wood.     Buying a whole chicken & cutting up vs. chicken parts...which is cheapest?

    I am able to get Chicken quarters, thighs, legs & boneless skinless breasts on sale for $.99 per pound. Wife will only eat the breasts. Wings very rarely go on sale. Whole roasters will go on sale for $.88 per pound. Whatever's on sale, I'll stock up.

    I did the same rotisserie chicken the other night!! But I had mashed taters n salad. Taters took longer to prepare than the chicken.... imagine that!! :rolleyes:

    Mavrick 732 return?

    Has anyone noticed the "On/Off" button on the 732 receiver is finicky? Gotta press it just right to turn on & off. Sometimes only a fingernail will make it happen. BTW - I checked calibration with boiling water. Both probes were "Bang On" accurate! :)

    That looks great, Bob!! :) Did you use the standard 1 tablespoon of Tender Quick per pound of meat? Would Real Maple Syrup work in place of Maple Sugar? I'll look for Maple Sugar. Thanks
