Weber trying to get "hip" but I don`t think they have to... anyone who is serious about BBQ knows already... I saw the commercial yesterday while watching the game but I didn`t see the WSM... which I was actually glad not to see... I like being in the cult...
Greetings Everyone, I`ve been away for a while but still smoking! Question: For my next family BBQ, I am considering smoking a PRIME RIB ROAST with the bone in. I did some searching here on the forum but cannot find anything specifically on smoking this cut of meat. Considering the price for...
Hey All,
A belated 4th of July...
Been away for a while but do stop in from time to time to read up and view everyones smokes.
Well I`m excited to say that tonight I`m in the middle of my largest smoke yet. My sister and sister in law both asked me to smoke some ribs for both of their...
I enjoy coming up with my own rubs and sauces. Some are hits, some are misses but thats part of the fun. For the record, I`ve tried applying rubs the night before and I have yet to taste the difference.
Smoked 6 racks of baby backs last night for the family New Years Eve Dinner and used Larrys Rub for some of the ribs. Everyone commented on how good the ribs were and I was sure to give Mr. Wolf credit. Just wanted to thank you for helping my smoke be a success!
Happy New Year Everyone!
for the record, I like butts too, especially the J Lo type...
I have not smoked anything in about two months, just have not had the time...
However, next week I`m hosting a Christmas party for some co-workers and I can once again smoke some butt.

Hey Danmarks-
I buy pork shoulder in BJs (one of those wholesale joints). Usually a 9 pounder.
I was turned on to pulled pork at a local joint here but they closed shop. Since then, I was determined to make my own.
God did good when he/she made a woman. Thats all I`ll say about that.
When it comes to chicken... legs.
When it come to a hog... ribs.
Beef... tough to beat a porterhouse.
I went there to get apples which we did. He explained to me what a bundle was, I walked over and it wasn`t much. Maybe ten 18" sticks... it wasn`t much.
Went to New Paltz the other day with the kids and wife for apple picking.
Ask the owner of the farm if he had firewood. Yes, he responds. They have apple. What else right? Anyway, I ask him how much, he tells me $55 for a bundle. Not exactly sure how much that was but I couldn`t come to grips...
If those prices are staying, it should be interesting to see how Weber markets this product. I can`t imagine there being a huge demand for the WSMs. I always considered it a cult piece, in that only the seriously demented owned a piece that took hours to cook food. Seriously, who has the time?
