HOW TO: Cleaning & Lubricating Weber Gas Grill Valves

Glad I read through this thread. I have two gassers that needed the valves cleaned. The screws were not coming out by conventional means. I did the half assed spray a little WD-40 and they are moving the way they should be now. I know it's not nearly as good as tearing them down and doing them...

Yep. I ordered a new driver the other day. I asked them to ship it to the local PXG Store. They said I'm not the only one who does this.

Brett, I manage an insurance agency and I have the hardest time finding licensed people to work. I have been here for almost twelve years and like you, have never seen anything like it is today. We are located just North of Houston so you would think there would be plenty of folks in the job...

Bought 2nd 14" WSM!! Sold my 22.5 to fund it.

I had all 3 sizes at one time. I also sold the 22 as it wasn't getting any use. Between the 14 and the 18 I can easily accommodate any gatherings we have. The 22 is definitely impressive in size and great if you are cooking for large groups.

    I think I need a 22” WSM

Get the 22" and have the son in laws make charcoal donations to the "big guy." This will help offset the extra amount of charcoal that the "big guy" consumes.

And be sure to wear your favorite colored t-shirt and shorts. I have a love/hate relationship with bleach. Nowadays I strip down to my skivvies when I use it to clean something.

22" kettle better for grilling than 26"?

I've got both. The 26er only gets used on special occasions. It definitely has a larger appetite for charcoal. That being said, we are only a family of three, and the 26er is kept in the shed while the Performer is kept on the patio.
