Brett, that looks amazing. I could eat that everyday for about a week before I got tired of it. Well done sir! Is the Costco salmon sushi grade?

What is everyone planning to cook for Smoke Day 19?

My daughter has a sand volleyball tournament that morning. We'll be leaving the house at 6AM and in and out of the sun for a good part of the day so Smoke Day will be moved to Sunday for us. Planning on queso on the grill followed by chicken fajitas served on a sizzling cast iron platter.

How can I remove this “Miller Lite” logo from the lid?

Probably worth a lot more than a Bud Light Weber right now.

How old is your oldest gas grill that you use most?

This is a Gold C from 2004 I think. Went with the classic wheels and swapped the stainless lid for a redhead. I also have brand new burners, grates and flavorizer bars for when they need to be replaced.

    Char-Griller Auto Akorn Kamado thoughts

I pulled the trigger when these were half price. It was delivered on Dec 11, 2022. I absolutely love it. So versatile and very efficient with the charcoal. I've done pulled pork, pizza's, steaks, veggies and chicken on it. My poor Weber's, I haven't used any of them since I got this grill.

anyone have experience/feedback smoking/grilling with red wine barrel oak stave chunks?

I haven't used wine barrels but I have been using barrel pieces from Makers Mark whiskey barrels for smoking and absolutely love the flavor they infuse in the meat. We have a guy who makes tables and such from the barrels and he sells the scrap pieces.

    6 Butts for Homecoming BBQ

Yes, the 14 WSM works with the Weber table. The Costco Bad Byron's "Butt Rub" is good, just finished my first container.

    6 Butts for Homecoming BBQ

My daughter attends a small charter school and they ask for volunteers to cook the BBQ that they sell at the homecoming BBQ. I volunteered to cook 6 out of the 12 butts they needed for the pulled pork. Used some "Butt Rub" from Costco for the seasoning. There's actually 3 butts on the tray to...

    Question about Char Q stand

Those legs look very similar to the legs on my Weber table for the JJ. It definitely looks way more study than the foldable Q tables.

To water pan, clay pot base, sand? What's your pleasure

I have the pizza pan that fits right over the water pan. I cover the pizza pan in foil to make cleanup easier. I don't recall ever using water in the pan.
