What kind of tree is this?

Interesting question, eh? Wiki says it's sometimes labeled as Red Oak, which is very popular out West, but don't all Oaks produce acorns? This tree has got to be 50 - 100 yrs old, so I would assume it's old enough to (>16, per Wiki) to produce. Obviously, the simple answer is Don't Use It...

What kind of tree is this?

I searched with Google Image Search Reverse, but it came back with "grass". It's not grass, haha. I think it's a member of the oak family, but don't see any nuts on the ground...that may be because of the time of year. https://photos.app.goo.gl/Gs6MJBTLdFKu3wAG8

How to arrange 6 leg quarters on 22" kettle

Thanks for the reply, Bob! I'm hungry, too, but it won't be tonight. It's gonna be some kinda pasta, chicken and broccoli mess. :-( Sorry, but I'm not quite understanding how/where to place the quarters. Probably NOT in a circle because of the large pile of coals on one side?

How to arrange 6 leg quarters on 22" kettle

I'm doing well with my new kettle. No disasters yet (knock on wood). I need to cook 6 chicken leg quarters. I assume indirect, coals in the center, legs in a circle around the coals. I see the need for baskets, but till then, which side of the bird should face the coals, and how often to...

Timothy, no baskets, I know what they look like, don't know what rails look like. I've had my WSM since 2005 and am well aware of Weber Quality. I will be sure to speak up if I have questions! :D The big problem I had tonight was neighbor 1's dogs barking at neighbor 2's dogs. They're both...

Here's the rundown on the first cook. 3.5# Ground Beef (prob. 75/25), made 6 patties. 3/4 chimney Kingsford Blue. Target Grill temp 375*. I had to fiddle and wait for the temp to get where I wanted it, but everything came out alright!! Nice crunchy crust on the burgers, tender and juicy...

of a Weber 22" Original Kettle. $109 + tax @ Lowe's. Didn't take long to put together, and easy, too...If you're 21 and weigh about 130 lbs. Too much "floor time" for this fat old man. I'm very pleased with it; it looks and feels VERY clean. No oil, no tiny metal shavings, etc. I'm going to...
