Who’s NOT doing a turkey for Thanksgiving?

*raises hand I'm by myself, so no other families' meals to raid. Digging in the freezer I'm thinking I'll go way off "traditional" Thanksgiving food and might do pressure cooker shrimp. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! 👋

Anyone else interested in oil heaters?

I used this for the first round. It seems to turn the some of the metal it touches green though. The site Duane linked to up above suggests a 50/50 mix of apple cider vinegar & water. I'm trying that now.

Anyone else interested in oil heaters?

I use this guy occasionally. Nowhere near as sexy as those Perfections, but it pumps out the heat. Seeing those photos, I definitely want to score a Perfection. I've been on-line browsing since seeing your photos. :) (y) I really enjoy my Aladdin lamp though. Maybe not so much for heat, but...

any blackstone griddle fans out there?

Nice to see the Blackstone users here, I felt a little bad about my couple of posts regarding mine since this is a Weber forum ;) I have the 17" and the 22" with the table and the 20lb tank adapter. Neither will replace my LittleGriddle insert on my Genesis, but I do like the variety of...

Off the bottle, back on the gas

I'm back! I have been in this new to me house for a little over two years now. Many many priorities have kept me from getting the natural gas line ran to the deck(I had to build the deck first ;)). I've been cooking on the propane Blackstone griddle to satisfy my outdoor cooking needs. Finally...

How many clocks did you set back today?

5 that aren't linked to GPS or internet time, plus it gave me the opportunity to re-sync the strikes on the two grandfather and one wall clocks 🕰️

Lawn rehab - seeding & watering - who else is doing it this fall?

Last year was my first full season in this house. With a bit of work I managed to turn the yard cover into what I would call a lawn instead of just grass. This year started out ok but suddenly mid-summer it just went away. Everything turned brown. The entire neighborhood looks sad. Some of the...

    Bed in a box

When I bought my latex mattress 10 years ago, I was told in the store, "You sleep in foam and on latex." I prefer the latex for more back support.
