SS Performer small propane tank question

Shaun, Upon further research you can use this adapter: http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Heate...ef=pd_sxp_grid_i_0_0 to screw the disposable tank to the existing regulator. The inlet to the regulator is 1/4" NPT. You can then use the valve past the regulator (my Performer has one) to turn the gas on...

SS Performer small propane tank question

Hi Shaun, This link has all the information you will need for the GA regulator: http://www.bar-b-que.com/valve...3-3643-/?ITEM_ID=522 You may want to measure your fittings before ordering. My hose seems to have a 5/8" fitting on it if you wanted to hook it up directly. YMMV

SS Performer small propane tank question

Shaun, it looks like that one uses a cast clip to connect to a hose or pipe. You may be better off with the Weber GA one that has an NPT fitting instead. This fitting may be interchangable with your existing hose.

SS Performer small propane tank question

The go anywhere regulator doesnt have mounting threads on the back: http://www.appliancefactorypar...h/part/493134/135015 But I guess you can also hold the tank in place while the regulator is mounted on it. Either way, some sort of bracket is needed to hold the new regulator or tank.

SS Performer small propane tank question

The newer performer uses this part: its basically a regulator with a built in valve that sticks out of the frame: It's 47 dollars here: http://www.appliancefactorypar.../search/part/551459/ A $12 regulator from a GA or Q will also work as the valve is built into the regulator with the...

SS Performer small propane tank question

I think you can also put this on the existing regulator to interface with the newer style LPG hookups. I believe this is called an ACME fitting.

SS Performer small propane tank question

Brian, I have been researching this myself for my own performer project. I think the option you had in mind is to replace the valve on the tank with the current version and get it recertified. From here you would need a hookup, hose and NPT fitting to go onto the existing regulator, or replace...

Yeah, I've done three in it once and it's a VERY tight fit. I crowned two racks on a SJ grate at the top, slid the WSM grate to water pan with two half slabs flat.
