    Strips

I also wanted to put this here...a Costco Prime tomahawk vs SRF NY strip black. So, a ribeye vs a NY strip... VS Final result: VS The ribeye, given its nature, should have more marbling throughout the steak right? YOU be the judge. I personally think I’ve been fooled - scratch that...

    Fathers day steaks

Awesome cook! I also used B&B oak for the first time yesterday. I was pretty impressed I must say.

Chicken Cordon Bleu on the Weber Performer

Those look great! The blowouts are perfect. They remind me of when I was a kid and my mom used to cook chicken cordon bleu from Schwan’s. The blowout cheese got extra crispy and my sister and I would fight over which one had the most blowout cheese! Awesome job!

Poached ahi in EVOO, clarified butter, capers and artichoke hearts with SPG over pasta topped with raw ahi

Jealous of even the closed restaurants on that side of the country!

    Father’s Day Ribeye’s

Gin - I am all in on either Plymouths or The Botanist, but excepting for most rail gins, I wouldn’t turn any down :D

    Strips

After having eaten these SRF NY strips and tasting how rich they were, I honestly don’t believe that I would be able to finish a whole ribeye from them. The marbling was unlike anything I’ve ever personally had. The “prime” steaks that are available to me where I live are absolutely nothing...

FD: Fettuccine w/Pesto & Grilled Shrimp

For sure can’t find that beer in VA. It’s like the good old Commonwealth has a lock down on great stuff. My brother-in-law actually went to The Alchemist and purchased the limited number of four packs of Heady Topper that you can get from the brewery - it was either two or three. The...

    Strips

I managed to get FD off this year but my wife had to work so that left dinner for just my daughter and I. This worked out well though because my wife is not really a meat eater and my daughter and I can’t get enough! A local shop gets their meat from Snake River Farms so I picked up two NY...

FD: Fettuccine w/Pesto & Grilled Shrimp

What a spread Rich! Thanks also for the link to the recipe. Two beers I’ve been wanting for a while now but have never had - Pliny the Elder and Heady Topper.

Picanha (Duane and Brett made me do it!)

Great looking picanha! I’d have to disagree with Guga though…I personally believe the king of steaks is the bone in ribeye and the queen is the ribeye sans bone. ;)

    20#, nope, now 16# brisket

Great job Brett! I’ll take the extra fatty piece in the closeup photo before the plated picture 🤩

That “W” sauce in the butter sounds exceptional!

    Help with iced tea debate

Unsweetened for me and mine. I/we don’t all have the same “sweetness” taste/like, so we’d rather be able to sweeten the tea ourselves. In our experience more often than not, sweet tea is too sweet at restaurants around us. This is, of course, is all null and void if beer is available. 🍺🍺🍺

    Halibut Taco bowls
