    Direct TV dish

Sorry guys for the wait. Its funny how life can get in the way of what you would really rather be doing... Anyhoo, here are my pictures. Let me know if there any other angle you'd like to see. Today is the maiden voyage for her here at the Anderson house - 3 butts and steady as she goes...

    Direct TV dish

I'll get some pictures up later this week. I'm traveling to San Francisco tomorrow and won't be home until Wednesday. I plan on posting some detailed photos for you. Let's shoot for Thursday evening. Sorry for the delay.

    Direct TV dish

I just bought a CL WSM yesterday that was mounted on to a convex disc with casters mounted on it. I quizzed the previous owner about where he found the dish for mounting. Turns out it is a satellite TV dish mounted convex side up! It really fits well and the casters are mounted well. I'll...

    Crispy Breaded Grilled Wings

Frank, Have you had a chance to modify your cook for these wings on the WSM?

    First run on the Q100

I grilled some burgers last night on my latest CL find. They turned out great! The Baby Q replaced my Go Anywhere as the "deck grill", meaning quick and easy to get to. I already had the gas line from the Go Anywhere, so it was a quick hook up to the tank and I was ready to cook. I must say...

    Stoker or DigiQ II

Brian, I ran with your logic and picked up the DigiQII with the 10 cfm fan on Monday. I cook 6 butts on the WSM once or twice a year. I like the damper concept. I think that for building up heat and maintaining high heat cooks, 10 cfm is the way to go. I hope to find out soon anyway!

    sauce bottles

10-4. There is a World Market in Knoxville and as I recollect, they do have a good selection of glass. I'll have to pay them a visit the next time I'm in the big city. Thanks again for your time.

    sauce bottles

Kevin, Do you prefer serving from glass? Also, is shipping expected to be high on moving glass? I priced $38 in goods and UPS Ground was $30. Thanks for your reply.

    sauce bottles

Can anyone recommend a higher quality sauce bottle than the typical 12 oz. condiment bottle? I am looking for something of a little higher quality so i can use for small catering gigs I have from time to time. I like to make my own sauces, so I need a container that I can use "on site" but...

    Tastebook

Tastebook For those of you who keep your recipes via computer program, I came across this site that allows you to create a recipe book by uploading what you have in your computer program. You can even add your own photos. Chris, this looks like it would make a good TVWB fundraiser. Members...

    WSM vs. ProQ Excel 20...Questions???

Jim, I looks like you aren't the only one in Illinois testing the two. Link. I'd be interested in your comparison. Thanks in advance. Donny

    Keri's Hog-Apple Baked Beans

I had my first opportunity to include some of my pulled pork in the beans instead of sausage. Man o' man, I didn't think that they could get any better! I have cut back on heat a little (1/4 t of cayenne powder), but they are still great.

    Freezer life for ribs

These are older than six months. I had two racks of these a couple of months ago and they were really good. I would be fixing for guests, so I would hate to serve poor quality meat.

    Freezer life for ribs

I have free access to 20 racks of BB's. They have been frozen for a while though. What is the quality/life span of ribs that are frozen? These are cryopacked Smithfields. Thanks in advance.

    Keri's Hog-Apple Baked Beans

I use SBR sauce and they turn out really good, but it's my favorite store bought sauce.

    Roadside Chicken

Can I say that as a science teacher, I LOVE THIS SITE! It's amazing how excited I get reading the wealth of information found here. Kevin, you have to forgive my germaphobic reply, but I get this mental image of that kitchen cleaner commercial with the lady wiping the chicken on the counter...

    Roadside Chicken

Dave, There can be some BAD bacteria from the chicken that contaminates the marinade. I've always used the rule of thumb to toss the marinade and have a separate batch for basting. I think that I have read that if you are going to use it for a sauce, you can bring it to a boil first. I'd...

    Roadside Chicken

I finally got a chance to grill up some Roadside tonight. FANTASTIC!!! My wife and I polished a good part of the bird and my little girl had her first chicken on the bone (non-Chick-Fil-A). Everyone loved it. I'm having my first big gathering of the year on Smoke Day IV. I plan on a sampler...
