Good Grief! I meant to ask if there was any "downside to having casters". I must be in a brain slump today... hopefully it doesn't last as long as my batting slumps used to.

Ed- Right you are... the legs on the above grill are 28 3/8", and on my "castered" cousin Genesis 2000 the legs without the casters are 25 3/4". There were no caps on the bottom of the legs which may be in my favor. If I want casters I have a shorter leg/frame that should work, and I have the...

Weber folks! Been lean on the "for sale" Webers as of late, but this is on CL for $100. The pics are not great quality, but it looks to me like there's a grill floor with a door mat on it. I wouldn't spend $100 on it, but I'll keep watching. Is this a desirable/unusual grill? Is the frame...

Well, the manual has the date 12/94 in the bottom right corner, and the Type II quick disconnect info page has a 4/95 date in the bottom right corner. Maybe the grill hung in the store for awhile...

That's what I was thinking because I have a Gen 2 with the rod/clip and hole, but I don't understand why my 1993 has slider yet the 1997 Gen 1000 has rod/clip and hole. It's a Weber mystery...

Bruce- My 1993 Genesis 2000 has the slider along with the wood tables and wood bottom rack. Could Weber have had an economy model they sold through department stores back in the mid-late 1990s which didn't include the slider, wood rack, or durawood option?
