Genesis 2000 Marshall Regulator Adjustable? There is a black Phillips screw looking cap....

It was a non runner when I got it, but I knew the owner and the Genesis was all stock. He did back into it with his truck though..... I have another regulator I'll try on for fun. Just thought I might have had an older regulator with adjustment capabilities. Thanks for the response!

Genesis 2000 Marshall Regulator Adjustable? There is a black Phillips screw looking cap....

Weber folk- I did my first ever refurb of my Genesis 2000 last summer, and have noticed it runs real hot. I completely disassembled the Weber (sandblasted firebox), cleaned the burners with wire wheel, cleaned the manifold and knob internals, etc. All three burners on Low and the temp, with my...

Serial number help on old Genesis?

Chris- you amaze me with your Weber knowledge and resources!! Looks like the grill I just picked up is a Genesis 3. Aren't the early Genesis grills with wider wood slats also referred to as Genesis 1,2,3 etc? If so, anyone know when the transition from wide to narrow wood slats happened...

Serial number help on old Genesis?

Good Grief! I meant to ask if there was any "downside to having casters". I must be in a brain slump today... hopefully it doesn't last as long as my batting slumps used to.

Serial number help on old Genesis?

Ed- Right you are... the legs on the above grill are 28 3/8", and on my "castered" cousin Genesis 2000 the legs without the casters are 25 3/4". There were no caps on the bottom of the legs which may be in my favor. If I want casters I have a shorter leg/frame that should work, and I have the...

Serial number help on old Genesis?

Thanks again-I’d forgotten about this link for the 1985-1992 grills. Could this grill have been a pre-caster version especially since it has the older metal bracket for the swing table?

Serial number help on old Genesis?

Whoops...I now realize the hole in the lower frame is for the rod that supports the table.

Serial number help on old Genesis?

Weber Folks! Just when I thought I was cured along came this free Redhead. What could I do?! I'm a sucker for longer frames and deep fire boxes. Can you help decipher the serial number? Year of production? The swing table on the left had the older bracket and no slide, but there are holes in...

Is this Genesis Gold missing the door(s)? Unusual in anyway?

Weber folks! Been lean on the "for sale" Webers as of late, but this is on CL for $100. The pics are not great quality, but it looks to me like there's a grill floor with a door mat on it. I wouldn't spend $100 on it, but I'll keep watching. Is this a desirable/unusual grill? Is the frame...

Are these OEM grates from a Gen 1000? And what about the flip up table with no slider?

Well, the manual has the date 12/94 in the bottom right corner, and the Type II quick disconnect info page has a 4/95 date in the bottom right corner. Maybe the grill hung in the store for awhile...

Are these OEM grates from a Gen 1000? And what about the flip up table with no slider?

Yes to both and both numbers match. My earlier post has the manual with the date the original owner purchased it. Below is the sticker image from the underside of the control panel:

Small gray Weber cookbook three ring binder?

That's it!! Chris, you are amazing. I'll continue to check eBay. Way cool. Thanks!

Are these OEM grates from a Gen 1000? And what about the flip up table with no slider?

That's what I was thinking because I have a Gen 2 with the rod/clip and hole, but I don't understand why my 1993 has slider yet the 1997 Gen 1000 has rod/clip and hole. It's a Weber mystery...

Are these OEM grates from a Gen 1000? And what about the flip up table with no slider?

Bruce- My 1993 Genesis 2000 has the slider along with the wood tables and wood bottom rack. Could Weber have had an economy model they sold through department stores back in the mid-late 1990s which didn't include the slider, wood rack, or durawood option?

Are these OEM grates from a Gen 1000? And what about the flip up table with no slider?

Yes, they are in good shape. I was hoping they we're some remarkable aftermarket grates!
