It's pretty easy. Measure twice, cut once, flatten tube ends in a heavy vice, cut notches and drill holes for the crossover tube. 15 minutes. Or you can buy them on Etsy for $70+ per pair when this shop gets back from summer break -...
Checking back in on this: An overnight soak w PB Blaster did the trick! Valves turn like "buttah."
No further need for a new manifold.
Thanks everyone!
Reassuring advice, thanks guys! I’m all over trying this hack before hunting down a new manifold. Although tomorrow’s snowstorm/polar vortex doubleheader may slow me down. Wife won’t let me do this kind of work in the family room lol!
Q: Is Gibb’s similar to PB Blaster, WD40 etc.? Penetrant?
Good catch Dan. Grill in question I think '00/01, manifold # on the parts schematic is 62182, with the 270 sweep. The grill is at my son's house but I am going to verify "in the field," then send a new post.
DM me with the price if you have one available. Prefer Chicago area part to avoid exorbitant shipping prices.
I am rehabbing a B but the darn valve screws are frozen up and stripped.
Thanks

Wow, thanks for posting, brings back memories. My neighbor's son, who originally picked it up for me on a curb find, later became the new owner of this reno as their wedding gift!
